Welcome to BlendedCare.com, where you learn to foster client engagement,
increase autonomy, and improve the therapeutic process using digital technology.
Why is blended, digital care that fosters client involvement not more widely accepted and applied as a curative possibility? Probably because conventional bureaucratic concepts about therapy and the role of the “client”.
As in general medicine, the sick person is transformed into a “client” and the belief is fostered that he needs a professional to get cured. He is not supposed to cure himself, since that would indeed break down the sacred bureaucratic difference between the professional healer and the non-professional sufferer.
This attitude does much harm, since the sufferer can only cure himself and the professional can only extend aid in this process of self-healing.
Blended care, or automated digital support, has proven to be highly beneficial in the healing process because is emphasizes the leading role and autonomy of the client in his healing process.
